LEGAL VERIFICATION PROGRAM

CHAIN OF CUSTODY CERTIFICATION (COC)

In Brazil, forests used for obtaining raw materials are divided into public and private. In both situations, forest activity is only possible respecting the execution of technical requirements licensed by state and federal environmental agencies.
We analyzed the documentary authenticity of the licenses issued to check if the enterprise has records and competences regarding the activity and based on a geospatial analysis, we evaluated whether the area proposed for exploration underwent intervention before, during and after the licenses issued.

Every forest raw material processing industry must be regulated by the Brazilian federal revenue, licensed in order to respect the conditions of the competent environmental agencies.
All entry and exit documents of the industries must be analyzed in compliance with the legislation, ensuring that the commercialization of the product does not suffer from apprehensions in inspections resulting from documental inconsistencies.

Globalization yearns for products that respect the preservation of forests based on sustainable forest management, before the internationalization of products it is necessary to have sufficient evidence that minimizes the risk of exporting illegal wood from irregular sources, with that the LVP emerges as a tool capable of presenting veracity about the origin of the exported product.

How it works
Through a technical analysis, Uniconsult verifies the various stages of the journey of your wood, from extraction to export. After a sequence of meticulous documental analyzes and verification of licenses, we determine the origin of each part of the route and give our opinion.
